As Baudelaire writes:  “the whole visible universe is but a storehouse of images and signs.”  This series of work entitled Constellations is framed by a concept of incompleteness, where disparate elements compel the viewer to reconcile the gaps between signs and references. In practical terms, I am in interested in how the twin methodologies of allegory and montage-(Walter Benjamin) can combine fragments, materials, and objects into composite images that are not fixed in meaning but rather are malleable impulses to be read—kind of like visual poems.  In other words I try to make constellations within which connections between various notes and fragments merge with the (my/our) “time and experience of now.”
